Etela Rajender Falls Ill in Padayatra; Rushed Jubilee Hills Based Apollo Hospital

Former Minister and BJP leader Etela Rajender fell ill in the midst of his ongoing  Praja deevena padayatra in his Assembly Constituency.

He was immediately rushed to Jubilee Hills-based Apollo hospitals for treatment. While his Blood Pressure is under control, his sugar levels are fluctuating. Rajender tested negative in the Covid virus done on him on Friday night.

BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar and former MP Vivek Venkataswami called on Etela at the hospital. Rajender fell ill in Kondapaka village of Veenavanka mandal after addressing a meeting.

The doctors of Veenavanka government hospital performed preliminary tests on the former minister immediately. They asked Etela’s family members to take him to Hyderabad as he developed blisters due to his padayatra. However, Etela did not agree to visit the city. He was administered with saline in his bus by the doctors. He was brought to the city on Saturday for better treatment. Etela has now postponed his Padayatra temporarily.  The party leaders have said that Etela would resume his padayatra from the same village where he had fallen ill.

Bandi slams TRS leaders

Meanwhile Bandi Sanjay has alleged that the ruling TRS party leaders were trying to win in the upcoming Huzurabad by-elections by committing irregularities.

Speaking to media persons after calling on ailing party leader Etela Rajender at Jubilee Hills-based Apollo hospitals, he said that he had asked Etala to stop his padayatra for some days and added that the padayatra would be continued after the recovery of Etela from his illness.

He urged the party workers and leaders to not visit the hospital as Etela was advised to take complete rest by the doctors of the hospital. He hoped that Etela would win in the upcoming by-elections in a democratic manner.
