Facebook To Boost Content Creators With $1 Billion Investment and Bonus Programmes

To help content creators get an extra push, Facebook has announced that they are planning to invest over $1 billion in programmes that help the creators find new ways to earn through their content on both Facebook and Instagram.

Facebook To Provide Seed Funding For Content Creators

As per the blog post released by the company, the investment will include new bonus programmes that would pay eligible creators in hitting certain milestones when they use creative and monetization tools. It said that they’ll also be providing seed funding for the creators to create content.

“Our goal is to help as many creators as possible find sustainable, long-term success on our apps,” the company said on Wednesday.

The company said that the bonus programmes will offer a wide variety of creators for sharing their content that people enjoy. It will also help them in understanding what type of content performs the best for their audience.

“Bonus programs will be seasonal, evolving and expanding over time,” the company said.

Facebook To Launch A Dedicated Places For Bonus Programmes

Further adding about the bonus programmes, the blogpost said that some of the bonus programmes are already available to select creators by invitation like Badges and Star Challenges. However, they will launch a dedicated place for bonuses within the Instagram app by this summer and on the Facebook app by the fall.

The first bonus opportunities on Facebook, available by invitation now, help creators earn more while learning how to create content that can be monetised. Meanwhile, the IGTV ads bonus currently available for the creators in the US allows creators to earn a one-time bonus for signing up for IGTV ads. This further enables them to earn a share of revenue when the ads runs during their videos.

At the same time, the Reels Summer bonus will also be launching soon in the coming week for the creators in the US.
