Father Demands Justice for Daughter’s Mysterious Death in Himachal Pradesh

Arshiya Anjum, a 24-year-old girl from Rahman Bagh in Nalgonda District, Telangana, died in Himachal Pradesh while pursuing her MBBS degree in March 2023. Md Ashrafullah Khan, her father, is now fighting for justice and has revealed the series of events that led up to her death.

Arshiya called her father on February 26th, complaining of vomiting and diarrhoea. Khan, concerned, resolved to travel to Himachal Pradesh the following day. On March 1, however, he received a troubling call from the warden notifying him that Arshiya’s health had deteriorated and she had been sent to the intensive care unit.

Khan went to the hospital in Chandigarh, only to discover that his daughter was in severe condition. She’d gone into a coma, and an ambulance was on its way to take her to another hospital. Arshiya’s coma was caused by acute diarrhoea, according to the doctor.

Doctors alerted Khan at the hospital in Chandigarh that Arshiya’s health was severe, and her urine examination result sparked suspicion. Arshiya died tragically, despite her father’s attempts and a 20-day fight for her life.

Khan, who has been devastated by the death of his daughter, is determined to pursue justice and demands a comprehensive investigation. In Himachal Pradesh, a case has already been filed, but Khan claims that the police are awaiting a medical report. He has expressed his suspicions about his daughter’s acquaintance and hopes that a thorough investigation would reveal the truth and deliver justice to Arshiya.

Khan has addressed letters to Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, requesting their support in ensuring a fair probe into his daughter’s death.
