A father-son duo was nabbed in Hyderabad during a joint operation conducted by the Commissioner’s task force and the Bowenpally Police for unlawfully peddling sharp-edged swords and daggers.
The accused, Vinay Sharma Kolariya (53) and Aakash Kolariya (23), planned to profit from their unlawful operations during the impending wedding and festival season.
The police confiscated three swords, a dagger, and four replica firearms from the suspects during the operation. Vinay, who owns JC Crafts in Bowenpally, was reported to have turned to guns sales after experiencing financial troubles with his firm.
The duo allegedly sold the weapons at prices ranging from Rs 6,000 to Rs 15,000, depending on the buyer. The police investigation into the case is ongoing, and the accused individuals will face legal consequences for their involvement in the illegal arms trade.
