Feuding in Greater Hyderabad Congress, Anjan’s supporters disrupt meeting over Azhar’s decision

Hyderabad, July 16 (NSS): Severe differences erupted in the Greater Hyderabad Congress party with the former MP and former Indian Cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin’s statement that he would like to contest from the Secunderabad Parliamentary constituency. Noisy scenes were witnessed in the Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee meeting held on Monday with Azharuddin’s statement of Sunday at Delhi.

Greater Hyderabad Congress Chief and Secunderabad former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav expressed his displeasure at the former Indian skipper Azharuddin and made it clear that he would contest from Secunderabad Parliamentary constituency come what may. He also dared Azharuddin to contest from Hyderabad Parliamentary constituency if he has guts.

On the other hand, former Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao left the meeting in a huff while Anjan Kumar Yadav addressing the meeting. After a few moments, party activists raised slogans in favour of Anjan Kumar Yadav and some others raised slogans opposing Azharuddin. TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy vainly tried to control the sloganeering party activists. Former Union minister Sarve Sathyanarayana tried to pacify the party activists saying that the Secunderabad Parliamentary seat belongs to Anjan Kumar Yadav only and there was no need to the party activists to worry in this regard. Former minister Mukhesh Goud and his son Vikram Goud were conspicuously absent at the meeting. (NSS)
