Fire Destroys Stores in Old City Hyderabad Near Yakutpura Railway Station

In the Old City of Hyderabad, three stores were destroyed by a large fire near the Yakutpura railway station. The event occurred about 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday when an 11kv power pole near the roadside stores toppled, resulting in a short circuit and the fire. The fire swiftly spread, destroying the nearby shops, fruit stands, and carts.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and no lives were lost as a result of the incident. However, the fire destroyed items estimated to be worth between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000. Local residents quickly called the police, who arrived on the spot.

Firefighters and the Disaster Response Force (DRF) were dispatched to put out the flames. They were able to bring the situation under control and prevent more damage. Police have opened a case and begun an investigation to investigate the cause of the occurrence and acquire more information.
