Firoz Bakht Ahmed noted Social Activist and Educationist appointed as the Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) by for a period of 3 years.
He has been appointed as the fifth Chancellor of the Maulana Azad National Urdu University. He succeeds Zafar Sareshwala.
Firoz Bakht Ahmed is grand nephew of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, first education minister of India. He is a prolific writer and authored many books in Urdu and Hindi, specially on children’s literature. He is also a freelance journalist and columnist. His columns and articles appear regularly in various widely circulated newspapers across India. Firoz Bakht Ahmed was also associated with Madrassa modernisation and Urdu medium schools up liftment. He was appointed by the courts in various enquiry committees assisting the judicial procedures for prompt justice.
