Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today directed the officials concerned to see that guidelines are followed strictly with regard to distribution of buffalos among beneficiaries through a scheme to be launched in August first week. At a video conference from Secretariat he said that members of Vijaya Dairy, Mulkanur, Mother and Karimnagar dairies will be given 2.13 lakh buffalos and cows during the program.
Vijaya Dairy MD will be nodal officer and district collector will closely monitor it he said. The farmers are given free hand to purchase buffalos and cows on subsidy. It was decided to give Rs 5000 towards transportation he said. The government is firm to revive rural people by encouraging community and caste based professions. The district officials should follow the spirit of distributing sheep to distribute buffalos and cows he said. (NSS)
