Former PM Rajiv Gandhi remembered on 27th death anniversary

B Venugopal Reddy, Secretary to Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao gave the ‘Anti-Terrorism Day Pledge’ to the staff and officers of Raj Bhavan on the occasion of the 27th death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi at Raj Bhavan here on Monday.

Every year May 21 is observed as ‘Anti Terrorism Day’.

Reading out the pledge, officers and staff expressed the resolve of the nation ‘to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence’ and to promote ‘peace, social harmony and understanding’ among fellow citizens.

Earlier, the Secretary offered floral tributes to the photograph of late Rajiv Gandhi, said in a statement by Raj Bhavan.
