Fuel Prices Hiked Again For Third Consecutive Day; Mumbai Hits The Highest Amongst Metros

In the latest update, the petrol and diesel prices have gotten hiked again to the highest levels across the nation. The fuel rates were hiked again for the third consecutive day on Friday.

Fuel Prices Risen By 35 Paise

As per the latest reports, the pump price of petrol in Delhi have risen by 35 paise to its highest level. Currently, the petrol is priced at Rs 106.89 per litre and the diesel prices are at Rs 95.62 per litre as revealed by the price notification of the state owned fuel retailers.

Meanwhile, in the financial capital Mumbai, the petrol prices have risen to Rs 112.79 per litre and the diesel prices stand at Rs 103.73 per litre which is the highest amongst the metros. The fuel prices remained the same on Monday and Tuesday but have risen from the past four days by 35 paise per litre. There was no change in the rates on October 12 and 13.

The diesel prices have been increased on 22 out of the past 28 days taking up the retail price by Rs 7.10 per litre in Delhi.

Fuel Prices Above Rs 100 In Several Parts Of The Country

As the diesel prices continue to rise, the fuel is currently available for over Rs 100 per litre in many parts of the country. The same situation had risen previously as well when the prices had reached Rs 100 per litre mark.

However, the petrol prices had maintained the stability in the prices since September 5 but the oil companies eventually raised the prices last week. Previously, the petrol prices have also risen 19 which took up the prices by Rs 5.70 per litre.

As the global demand remains firm, the OPEC+ continues to move slowly on increasing the production. The price per barrel is $85.
