Gandhi Jayanthi celebrated Across the State on a Grand Scale

Hyderabad : To mark Gandhi Jayanthi, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at “Bapu Ghat” near Langar House.

The government has conducted the Gandhi Jayanthi as state festival across Telangana in all 31 districts on a grand note. The Governor, the Chief Minister and ministers have offered floral tributes to the Father of the nation on the occasion.

The Governor and the CM also participated in the prayers of all religions at the Bapu Ghat near the city here.  The ministers present included T Srinivas Yadav, V Prashanth Reddy, Ch Malla Reddy, Sabitha Indra Reddy,  Mahamood Ali, Mayor B Rammohan and others.

At the State  Assembly deputy speaker Padma Rao Goud,  council Chairnan Gutha Sukhender Reddy,   his deputy N Vidyasagsr Rao, Mahamood Ali,  MLAs,  MLCs and secretary V Narsimha Charyulu and officials have paid rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi.

Also Union Minister of state for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy paid tributes to Gandhiji.

At Bus Bhavan

Mahatma Gandhi Birth Anniversary was celebrated in Bus Bhavan here today. TSRTC In-charge Managing Director and TR&B Department Principal Secretary Sunil Sharma, garlanded the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and paid rich floral tributes.  Sunil Sharma said people should draw inspiration from Mahatma, by fighting a war against violence, hatred, jealousy etc to attain peace. He said everyone should follow his footsteps, so as to attain peace.
