Gazette Notification from Oct 14 : KRMB, states to decide

Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) today stated that Gazette Notification is to be implemented from October 14.

KRMB said that the two states have to handover five projects in the first phase and all the outlets at Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar and help implement Gazette Notification.

The two states are to cooperate and hand over the same and the officials said to decide to give them or not according to information.

KRMB and GRMB held meetings with Telangana and AP and discussed in detail the Gazette Notification to implement from October 14.

The board which held a key meeting with officials of the two states sought details and suggestions on the Gazette notification. The Krishna board along with Godavari Board, which held a meeting on Monday, has decided to implement the Gazette notification by taking some projects and centers in both regions.

While the AP secretary Shyamla Rao alleged that Telangana was violating power protocols and generated power at Nagarjuna Sagar and Srisailam, Telangana principal secretary Rajat Kumar denied the same.

The matter is sub-judice and there was no violation, he said. As per protocols power generation would be done and there are no violations, he said. We are not ready to give the projects being sought by the boards and a decision would be taken by October 14, he said.

The boards seek to take over 29 points including 18 points and 12 points in Sagar and Srisailam areas respectively. He attended the crucial meeting on Krishna water issue and Gazette Notification that is to be implemented from October 14.
