Hyderabad: Agriculture and civil supplies minister S Niranjan Reddy today asked the officials to get ready to procure farm produce for the coming Yasangi season in the state.
He held a meeting with the officials and asked them to make arrangements for the purpose and ensure MSP by procuring farm produce. There shall not be any inconvenience to the farmers while procuring the farm produce, he said. This time more farm production is expected as crops being sown in more cultivable lands, the minister said adding that the farmers welfare is key for development. Beyond estimates in 2018-19, the Kharif procurement was put at 40.70 lakh mt., the minister said. Increase purchase centers to procure the farm produce and provide all facilities for the purpose, he added.(NSS)
