Govt increase registration and service fee

The State government today increased the registration and service fee of various services offered by the stamps and the registration department of the state.

It has increased the registration charges of societies and chit funds in an unprecedented manner. It said that the revised charges would come into force from Thursday. It may be noted here that the state government has increased the land values of the non-agricultural properties and stamps duty recently.

The fee for the registration of the society has been increased from the current ₹500 to ₹2000. The document filing charges of the societies have also been increased from the current ₹300 to ₹1000. The charges for the registration of the agreement of sale documents and GPAs have been increased from the current  ₹2000 to ₹5000. The maximum charges to offer these two services have been fixed as ₹1 lakh.

The charges for the registration of the properties at the house of the vendor have been increased from ₹1000 to ₹10,000 per document. The vendors, who wish to have their registration process completed at their homes, will have to pay ₹1000 additionally if they have more than five family members, who will execute the documents. The state government has fixed the private attendees fee for those above the age group of 75 years and the handicapped to ₹5000.

The fee for the registration of the documents on holidays has been fixed as ₹5000 per document. The registration charges for the registration of a will has been fixed as ₹3000.
