Govt supports green areas in vilages : Dayakar Rao

Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao today said that Rs 116 cr was spent for setting up 19472 and planted 19413 saplings which are 99 percent as part of the big program of palle prakruti vanams and Mandal brihat prakruti vanams (nature green parks) in the state.

The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to turn the state into a greenbelt by Haritha Haram, he said after a review meeting.

The Minister said that each village that succeeded in taking up Palle Prakruti Vanams will get a big vanam. Each such green park area will get Rs 40 lakh and plant about 31000 saplings each, the minister informed.

With this the villages take part in the green drive and ensure a better environment, he said. So far the official found 300 acres of land in 535 mandals and the villages will push for the green drive, Rao said.

The government will allot 10 acres of land in the villages which have no space for the purpose.

For this the local leaders and the officials should coordinate, the Minister directed.
The KCR government is for Palle Pragathi, Pattana Pragathi, and Haritha Haram for the all-around development of the villages and the towns.

For this we encourage the people to involve and support the officials, the minister said. The villages got a facelift with the schemes, he claimed.
