Harish Rao Asks Finance Minister Nirmala for Funds

Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao today urged the Centre to release pending funds, arrears and extend schemes further.

In a letter addressed to the union minister of finance Nirmala Sitharaman, Harish Rao urged to release Rs 900 Cr towards developing backward districts. These funds are pending and be extended to the next five years, he said. Harish Rao also asked Nirmala Sitharaman to release Rs 24000 Cr funds as recommended by Niti Ayog committee towards Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya.

Harish Rao urged Nirmala Sitharaman to release funds, grants towards various schemes. They are Rs 817 Cr for urban and rural local bodies, Rs 723  Cr central grants as per 15th Finance commission recommendations, and Rs 495 Cr to adjust central tax revenue share given to AP state by fault.

He urged Nirmala Sitharaman to give funds and grants, extend schemes and adjust the tax share without any further delay.
