Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today appealed to people to make success the flagship Haritha Haram program. He planted a few saplings at Arts and Science PG College near Paradise Circle Metro Station here along with MLA Sayanna and officials here.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has started the Haritha Haram program with a vision to give good environment to future generations. He said the government was for creating a conducive atmosphere sans pollution through massive afforestation program by involving people. He expressed confidence that the State will witness good rainfall this season and people will develop while officials are focus on the greenery.
The program is in full swing and the people, students and youth should voluntarily participate in planting saplings for green expansion, he said. Srinivas said students should actively participate in the program to turn Hyderabad into a green belt area. He also said good rains will help protect the plants for creating a non pollution atmosphere. Determination of the Chief Minister will protect when the saplings are protected by timely pouring of water and guarding for better environment, he said. The Government has started the fourth phase of the haritha haram and the people have to cooperate plant some saplings in their residences, he said. (NSS)
