HC issues notices to TTD, AP govt seeking details of Maha Samprokshana at Tirumala

Hyderabad: The High Court has taken up a petition filed against Tirumala Tirupati Devstanam (TTD) alleging that the rules and regulations for conduct of Maha Samprokshana were not good. The petitioner urged the High Court to direct the TTD to telecast Maha Samprokshana live in TTD channel. The High Court directed the TTD and Andhra Pradesh government to submit the full details on August 6 and posted it to August 6.

It may be mentioned here that the TTD executive committee has taken a decision to conduct Maha Samprokshana, which would be conducted once in 12 years, from August 12 to 16. The committee also a took a decision that the temple to be closed from August 9 to August 17 for nine days by not allowing darshanams to the devotees. However, the committee took its decision of stopping Srivari darshans during Maha Samprokshana.

The TTD also made it clear on it saying that the aim of TTD was to see that not to harm the sentiments of the devotees and to stop falsehood publicity and doubts against TTD. It may also mentioned here that the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu intervened in the issue where reported falsehood campaign was going on against TTD. Chief Minister directed the TTD to re-review the issue to allow the devotees for darshan of Srivaru during Maha Samprokshana while ensuring that there won’t be any disturbance to Maha Samprokshana.
