Heavy Rain Alert in Hyderabad: IMD Issues Warnings

Hyderabad was hit with heavy rain and overcast skies again today, with the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) anticipating more downpours in the city. A yellow alert has been issued for Hyderabad due to the incessant rain.

The IMD forecasts mild to moderate rainfall or thundershowers in all six zones of Hyderabad until July 23, including Charminar, Khairatabad, Kukatpally, LB Nagar, Secunderabad, and Serilingampally. Furthermore, heavy rain is forecast for today throughout the city.

The weather service has issued an orange signal for the whole state of Telangana, predicting heavy rain to continue until July 24.

According to the Director of the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre, several regions of the city may see heavy rain. To keep residents informed and prepared, the authorities are regularly issuing timely warnings and yellow alerts for Hyderabad.

According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), the maximum rainfall of 192.3 mm was reported in Jangaon during the last 24 hours, while Shaikpet in Hyderabad experienced significant rainfall of 68.8 mm.

The highest temperature in Hyderabad is forecast to be in the region of 25 to 27 degrees Celsius, while the temperature across the state is expected to be in the range of 27 to 30 degrees Celsius. Residents are advised to stay up to current on weather information and to take the required precautions.
