Heavy Rain Forecast for Telangana in Next 3 Days

Hyderabad: K Chandrashekar Rao Chief Minister of Telangana instructed the official missionary to be alert and vigilant in view of the heavy rain forecast in the coming three to four days.

Chief Minister asked the Chief Secretary to issue instructions to ensure all concerned officials to be in the respective work place and coordinate with all the departments and take necessary steps.

In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Hanamkonda saw 22 mm of rains, Medak 20 mm, Hyderabad witnessed 15.8 mm of rainfall, Bhadrachalam 20 mm, Nizamabad 5.7 mm, Nalgonda 19 mm, Ramagundam 10.7 mm,

Due to presence of low pressure over Northwest Bay of Bengal which has now become a cyclonic circulation and shifted to North Odisha, heavy to very heavy rains are expected over parts of Northwest Telangana during the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, northern Telangana will see moderate rains. However, South Telangana will only see light rains. Sky conditions over the entire state will be overcast to cloudy.

Cities like Adilabad, Medak, Najibabad, Karimnagar may receive moderate to heavy rains during next 24 hours. Meanwhile, Khammam, Hanamkonda, Bhadrachalam, Hyderabad Nalgonda will receive light to moderate rains.

After 24 hours, these rains will reduce significantly as the system will move away in a west northwestward direction.

In view of the necessity of the Ministers to stay in the respective districts, the proposed Cabinet Meet scheduled for Monday stands postponed.
