Heavy vehicles barred from plying on Lalapet flyover

Hyderabad: In view of Restoration of Lalapet ROB across Secunderabad – Khazipet Railway line at Tarnaka by GHMC, heavy motor vehicles such as RTC buses, Private buses, School buses, GHMC vehicles and DCMs are not allowed to use the Lalapet flyover for a period two months. In this regard a Notification has been issued by the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City duly mentioning diversion routes in the interest of general public in order to relieve congestion, to maintain smooth flow of traffic and to ensure public safety and order.

The GHMC will be taken up the restoration work of Lalapet flyover from May 03.05.2019. In this regard the following restrictions for entry of heavy vehicles will be effect from 03-05-2019 for a period of two months. The entry of light motor vehicle such as cars, autos and motorcycles will be allowed on Lalapet ROB.

TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS.
All the heavy vehicles i.e. RTC buses, Private buses, School buses, GHMC vehicles and DCMs etc. coming from Mettuguda & Osmania University towards Lalapet Flyover via. Tarnka Junction will be diverted at Tarnaka Metro Station towards Tarnaka Flyover – Big Bazar – Fire Station – Habsiguda – left turn – Nacharam – Mallapur – NFC.

All heavy vehicles i.e. RTC buses, Private buses, School buses, GHMC vehicle and DCMs etc. coming from Moula Ali and Lalapet towards Lalapet flyover will be diverted at Lalapet Ambedkar Statue towards Shantinagar bus stop – Noori pan shop – Mirjalaguda ‘T’ Junction – Mettuguda Junction.

All heavy vehicles i.e. RTC buses, Private buses, School buses, GHMC vehicle and DCMs etc. are not allowed from Mirjalaguda ‘T’ Junction towards Lalapet Via. Shantinagar and will be diverted towards Mirjalaguda ‘X’ Roads.

Only Two wheelers, 3 wheelers and Light Motor Vehicle (Cars) will be allowed towards Lalapet flyover on both sides. (NSS)
