High Court Expresses Its Anger Over Govt

The Telangana high court today expressed its anger over the State government for its failure to implement its orders for the control and prevention of the Covid virus.

It asked the state government as to why it was not implementing the orders issued by it on the issue.

A division bench of the HC made these remarks while dealing with a batch of petitions filed on the issue of the prevention of the Covid virus.

During the course of arguments, the HC asked the state government whether it implemented its orders on the uniformity of prices being charged in the private hospitals of the state and issued GOs by amending the existing prices? It asked the state government as to when the 14 diagnostic labs permitted by it to conduct RTPCR tests would commence their services.

It criticized that the report filed by the state government on its preparation to face the ongoing second wave of the virus was not comprehensive in nature.

The High court also grilled the government on the constitution of a state-level advisory committee and asked as to why it did not constitute it so far.

Stating that 8000 children from a district of Maharashtra became the victim of the Covid virus, it asked the state government as to What kind of preparation it is making to face the third wave of the virus.
