In a bid to ensure the integrity of upcoming elections, all 3,986 polling stations across Hyderabad district, spanning 15 Assembly constituencies, will be equipped with live webcasting. This continuous monitoring will begin at 7 a.m. and continue until the polling process concludes on November 30.
The webcasting will cover critical and vulnerable polling stations, primarily aiming to create a safe and secure environment in these areas. This measure allows real-time access to live streaming for the Election Commission of India, the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer, the Hyderabad District Electoral Officer, and appointed observers.
The list of selected polling stations for webcasting includes Musheerabad, Malakpet, Amberpet, Khairatabad, Jubilee Hills, Sanathnagar, Nampally, Karwan, Goshamahal, Charminar, Chandrayangutta, Yakuthpura, Bahadurpura, Secunderabad, and Secunderabad Cantonment.

Webcasting, utilizing Internet Protocol-based technology, will serve as a vigilant eye, enabling swift response to any untoward situations without disrupting the voting process. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is planning to collaborate with software engineering students to facilitate the webcast proceedings, ensuring remote monitoring by election officials and preventing illegal activities such as booth capturing and bogus voting. This proactive approach ensures that corrective action can be taken promptly in the event of any irregularities, especially if local authorities have not already intervened.
