Hyderabad Police Arrest Six Individuals Involved in Selling Fake Insurance Certificates

Six private agents linked with the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) were seized in Hyderabad by the LB Nagar Special Operations Team and Adibatla police for participating in fraudulent activities. These people were selling phoney insurance certificates and other documents to naïve buyers.

Sangireddy Raghavender Reddy, Kongala Anand, Adushetti Venu, Puttabathini Sridhar, Anupati Srishailam, and Chapala Yadagiri are among those detained. Their method entailed scanning expired vehicle insurance certificates and changing the dates before submitting colour printouts to the RTA for purposes such as vehicle transfer and fitness certification.

According to the police inquiry, the accused would charge different amounts, ranging from Rs 2,000 to Rs 10,000, depending on the type of car. They also preyed on vehicle owners who lacked legitimate insurance or local residence verification, promising to furnish them with the required documentation in exchange for large sums of money.

The arrest of these criminals demonstrates the alertness and aggressive actions taken by the LB Nagar Special Operations Team and Adibatla police to combat fraud and defend the public’s interests. The police statement emphasises the gravity of such offences and the dangers they represent to naïve individuals who rely on these documents for legal compliance and financial stability.

The investigation is ongoing, and more steps will be taken to hold the individuals involved accountable for their criminal behaviour. This operation serves as a reminder of the significance of exercising caution and double-checking the legitimacy of documents, especially when dealing with sensitive issues like insurance and vehicle ownership.
