Hyderabad: ‘Rall-E’ at People’s Plaza kicks off e-mobility week

The e-Mobility week in the city kicked off with ‘Rall-E’, flagged off at Peoples Plaza and culminating at Hitex, Madhapur on Sunday.

Rall-E, the country’s largest electric vehicle (EV) rally, saw thousands of EV enthusiasts ride their electric two- and three-wheelers, as well as electric buses, through various parts of the city.

A special stunt show by Gravton Motors’ Sheraaz and Rahul was also organised to generate excitement for e-Mobility Week and spread the message of sustainable mobility.

The vehicle rally was flagged off by actor and director Adivi Sesh, IT principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan, director Nag Ashwin, and other sector leaders.

Various government organizations and industry partners including, TSRTC, Apollo Tyres, Gravton Motors, Citreon, TVS, Ola, Ather, Uber, MG Motors, Mahindra, Quantum, Atum Motors, Bud-e Bikes, Pure EV and Eto among others took part in the rally.

A musical concert was also organised, with performances by Band Buddies (formerly Rooh), Jammers Band, and lyricist Krishna Chaitanya.

The flagship Hyderabad e-Mobility Week is being will culminate with India’s first Formula E race on February 1.

Next-gen EV technologies to be showcased at Hyd E-mobility Week

Top global and domestic companies will exhibit next-generation electrification technologies, innovative products and solutions in the EV and energy storage systems space during the week-long event.

The grand event will showcase India’s strengths and capabilities in the electric vehicle space to both international and domestic audiences. Over 1500 participants from various countries will take part in events, showcasing their innovative EV products and technologies.

Telangana is emerging as a major EV hub in the country, attracting several electric mobility companies to establish manufacturing bases in the state. Telangana, as one of the few states in India with a dedicated Electric Vehicle and Energy Storage Systems (EV & ESS) policy, has provided numerous fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to the manufacturers as well as customers to fast-pace EV adoption.
