Hyderabad: Receiving death threats from Pakistan, says Raja Singh

Controversial MLA T Raja Singh of Goshamahal, who has been suspended from the BJP, filed a complaint with DGP Anjani Kumar on Tuesday, alleging that he had received a death threat.

In a video released to the media, the MLA stated that he received a call from an unknown number beginning with +92, which he believes was from Pakistan.

“The callers told me the entire details of my family members, their daily routine, and other minute details. The callers also threatened to plant a bomb that could be triggered by a mobile phone,” he said.

The MLA also stated that the police denied his request for a weapon licence for self-defense on the grounds that he had criminal cases registered against him.

In the past, the BJP MLA had filed complaints about receiving threatening phone calls from the police.

The state government provided him with 2+2 security round the clock and a Bullet Resistant vehicle to him.

Hyderabad Police serves another notice to Raja Singh for hate speech

The Hyderabad Police had served another notice to Telangana MLA and suspended BJP leader T Raja Singh for making a hate speech at a rally in Mumbai on January 29.

The notice was issued by Mangalhat police to the controversial legislator for making communally provocative comments, in violation of the conditions imposed by the High Court when it ordered his release last year.

The Telangana Legislative Assembly Member from the Goshamahal constituency had been given two days to respond to the notice.

Reacting strongly to the new notice, Raja Singh claimed that the state is being ruled by the ninth Nizam. He stated that he was not afraid of being imprisoned again.

On January 26, he was served with a notice for allegedly offensive remarks he made last year about a religious community.
