Hyderabad: Telangana BJP’s Raja Singh says he received threat calls

In a complaint filed at Mangalhat Police Station on Tuesday, Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Raja Singh says he received threats from unknown numbers, including international calls.

The BJP legislator has requested the police to investigate and take action in this matter. Recently, the Hyderabad police registered a case against Raja Singh for hurting the religious beliefs of a particular community through his defamatory remarks.

Businessman Mohammed Ali, a Hyderabad resident, reported the matter to the police and a case was filed against him at the Kanchanbagh police station under section 295 A of the IPC.

P Uma Maheshwar Rao, the police inspector at Kanchanbagh Police station, said, “We have registered a case against BJP MLA Raja Singh. A Kanchanbagh resident named Mohammed Ali filed a complaint against Raja Singh for hurting religious sentiments.”

Ali stated in his complaint that a video was going viral of BJP MLA Raja Singh. According to him, MLA Raja Singh made a statement that hurt the religious beliefs of a particular community in the video. An investigation has been launched. Whether the video is authentic remains to be seen. Neither the date nor time of the video was confirmed, the official stated.

Investigations are underway.

Congress has also criticized the BJP for its hate politics, which has caused major embarrassment for the country.

“The BJP government should be held accountable if anything happens to Indians working in Gulf countries. Why no action is being taken against Bandi Sanjay for his comments about digging up mosques?” asked former MP V Hanumanth Rao on Tuesday.

Shaik Abdullah Sohail, chairman of the Telangana Congress minorities cell, demanded that BJP MLA Raja Singh be arrested for his controversial comments made against Khwaja Ghareeb Nawaz Dargah in Ajmer, Rajasthan.
