Hyderabad: Telangana Haj Pilgrims Gets Warm Welcome

The first batch of Haj pilgrims from Hyderabad Embarkation Point returned back after performance of haj and visiting tomb of Holy Prophet tonight to a warm welcome by officials and relatives. Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Deputy Chief Minister received the pilgrims at the Tarmac of the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

Mr. Mohammed Masiullah Khan, Chairman TS Haj committee, Mr. MoahmmedQameruddin Chairman Minorities Commission, Mr. Mohammed Jahangir chairman Market committee, Special Officer, Telangana State Haj Committee, Prof. S. A Shukoor Members Dr. AqeelHashmi, Mr. Mohammed Arifuddin, Mr. M. A. Shafee, Mr. Mohammed Arif Ahmed, Mr. Abu TalhaAmjadandothers were present on this occasion. The Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated distribution of the ZamZam water cans among the pilgrims on this occasion.

Three flights each with a capacity of 300 passengers landed tonight at Rajiv Gandhi International airport at 7:55, 8:45 and 11:55 PM respectively.
Mr. Mahmood Ali congratulated the pilgrims on completion of their life time desire of performing Haj and visiting Madeenah. He said that a total of 7347 pilgrims had left from Hyderabad Embarkation point for the Haj, they include 4453 from Telangana, 1711 from Andhra Pradesh and 1183 from Karnataka. All the pilgrims would return back by September 25, he said.

The GMR authorities in coordination with other departments and agencies has made all necessary arrangements for the return of the haj pilgrims. In view of the prevailing rainy season special waterproof shed with a capacity of 1000 persons is erected outside the Terminal for the visitors and necessary amenities are provided to them.
