Hyderabad: Tension prevails on ORR as unknown man opens fire

According to the latest reports, an unknown person opened fire on a lorry driver at Tukkuguda on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) on Saturday evening.

Jharkhand native Manoj Yadav was on his way to Kochi, Kerala, with an iron/steel loaded vehicle from Chandapura, Hathnoora Medak.

An unknown person in a white Swift Car (unknown number) opened fire at the lorry’s cabin with a firearm near Tukkuguda Exit 14, near Hyderabad.

The driver, however, did not sustain any bullet wounds. After a passerby called the police via Dial-100, a team from the Pahadi Shareef police in Hyderabad and a CLUES team of forensic experts attended the scene.

There was damage to the lorry’s front cabin glass in the incident. According to the police, the attacker fled to Shamshabad. To track down the miscreant, a case has been filed and an investigation is underway.

According to reports, two rounds of bullets were fired and struck the glass of a door. The incident occurred around 8.30 p.m. Police are investigating whether the unknown man opened fire as a result of a robbery attempt, a previous enmity, or for any other reason. Police have determined the make of the car in which the accused was traveling based on information provided by the lorry driver.

Three family members die as car rams stationary truck

On Tuesday night, three family members, including two children, died after their car rammed a stationary truck in the Vikarabad district.

According to B Anitha, SI of Chengomul police station, a case has been filed against the truck driver for stopping on the road without proper indications for other commuters.

From Sultanpur village, the victims and other family members were heading to Enkepalli village for a family function. Due to the light from vehicles coming in the opposite direction, Mohd Wajid, who was driving the car, failed to notice the truck parked on the road and rammed it.
