Hyderabad to Experience Partial Solar Eclipse on October 25

On October 25, Hyderabad will experience a partial solar eclipse. Residents of the city will see the Moon cover more than 18% of the Sun at its peak.

The partial eclipse will be visible from most parts of the country, according to astrophysicist Debi Prasad Duari.

The eclipse will not be observed from northeastern India because it will occur after sunset in those areas, according to Duari.

The northern and western parts of the country are better places to see the partial eclipse with a better view and for a longer period of time.

Other than India, it will be visible from most of Europe, northern Africa, the Middle East, and parts of Asia, as said by Duari.

Partial solar eclipse in Hyderabad

The partial solar eclipse will be visible in Hyderabad at 4:59 p.m., with the Moon covering 18.7 percent of the Sun at its peak.

The city will witness a partial lunar eclipse on November 8 because the gap between the solar and lunar eclipses is usually two weeks.

What exactly is a partial solar eclipse?

It is a celestial phenomenon in which the Sun, Moon, and Earth almost come in a linear configuration and the Moon appears to partially cover the Sun for a period of time.

Because the Moon will pass between the Earth and the Sun, the Earth’s view of the Sun will be completely or partially obscured.

The Moon will partially obscure Earth’s view of the Sun during a partial solar eclipse. It happens frequently, whereas total solar eclipses happen every 360 to 410 years on average.

People who are fascinated should use special eclipse glasses to observe the celestial phenomenon.

Pinhole cameras are another option. They must, however, never look directly at the Sun with binoculars, telescopes, or unaided eyes.

Staring at the Sun without a special device can be harmful to the eyes. It can even result in blindness.
