Hyderabad: Woman booked for making a dancing reel on metro train

It’s quite common to see Instagram users dancing or lip-syncing to trendy songs and entertaining their followers. There are, however, a number of reasons why not all videos are well-received.

An instance of this occurred in a Hyderabad metro station where a young woman was seen dancing to the Tamil song ‘Ra Ra’. Public reactions to her video were mixed as it went viral on social media.

In the meantime, the Metro Rail authorities have also stated that they will take strict action against individuals who trouble the passengers. In addition, it is reported that a case has been filed against the young woman.

Although some people appreciated her courage, many others criticized her and called it a nuisance. The HMRL officials, however, warned that strict action would be taken against the girl.

Videos she posted on her Instagram account of her dancing inside the metro and at a station garnered thousands of views and likes.

While many Twitter users seemed unfazed by such actions, many questioned why such things were allowed on public transportation.

“What kind of nuisance is this?? Are you guys giving permission for this on metro trains? Are you guys changing Hyderabad metro stations as picnic spots & dance floors?” tweeted one user, tagging Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited.

Another user wrote on Twitter: When I was in China, I saw old people dancing on the footpath with music on. It’s so pleasant to watch. I remember Auto’s used to play songs on speakers here in Hyderabad, which made stupid traffic ride enjoyable. It’s not harming anyone why have people become so much intolerant?
