I resign as CM if BJP leaders prove pension charges: KCR

Hyderabad: TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao today challenged that he will resign to Chief Minister post if the BJP leaders prove charges that the Centre is offering Rs 1600 to each pensioner in Telangana.

He formally started a RythuVedika at Kodakandla in Janagam district here. On the occasion, the chief lashed out that the state BJP leaders are carrying misinformation campaign on pension. ‘I will resign as the Chief Minister and return home if the BJP leaders prove their allegations on the pension KCR said. In the Dubbaka by-poll, the BJP leaders are blaming the government and misguiding people, he charged.

The Chief Minister further said that the BJP government at the center offers just Rs 200 to pensioners, while the TRS government offers Rs 2016 to each. The state government spends a staggering Rs 11,000 cr towards pensions benefiting 38,64,751 pensioners he said. While the BJP government of Modi spends a paltry Rs 105 cr a year to benefit only 6,95000 pensioners, KCR clarified.

The center brought new acts against the farmers and we opposed the same. He asked the farmers to wage a war against these acts and protect our interests. The farmers will lose if they produce maize and we promise to purchase the crops, he said.FCI announced that Telangana was a major paddy contributor with 55 percent supply, while the rest of the country gave 45 percent he claimed. Telangana to see the golden era for farmers who should reap in benefits a dream to be true soon he hoped. The government offered 1 lakh platform to farmers to dry and categorize their crops. The state government will support rythubandhu, rythubhima, free power to farmers he said. Ours only states to offer such schemes and no others are able to do, he added.
