Hyderabad: BJP senior leader and Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreya said that the Indians staying in America were in concern after Sharat’s death in the firing took place at Kansas.
Speaking to the media after consoling the Sharat parents here on Sunday, Dattareya said that it was a sad incident. He said that he will talk to Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and the staff of embassy to bring the Sharat’s body to India as early as possible. He said that the parents of Sharat were in inconsolable condition.
It may be mentioned here that Telangana student Koppu Sharat (26) died of firing in America. Sharat from Warangal district was pursuing in Missouri University. He was got injured severely in the indiscriminate firing of unidentified persons at a restaurant in Kansas at 7PM. The police came to the spot and rushed Sharat to a hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. It may also be mentioned here that software Kuchibotla Srinivas from Hyderabad was also died in the firing took place at a restaurant in Olathe City in Kansas.
Sharat’s father Koppu Rammohan was working as a JEO in BSNL office in Ameerpet and mother Malathi was an employee in Panchayatraj. The couple was from Warangal settled in Hyderabad. Sharat’s friends informed the incident in which Sharat’s died over phone. The parents, who were in inconsolable condition, urged the state and central governments to see that their son’s body to reach Hyderabad as early as possible. Sharat’s father met DGP M Mahender Reddy and urged the latter to get full details of the incident. (NSS)
