ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023: Hyderabad to Host Three Matches

According to the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 calendar, Uppal’s Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Hyderabad will host three matches. Pakistan will play in two of these games, marking their comeback to the venue since 2005. Locals are disappointed, though, because the Indian team will not be playing any matches in Hyderabad.

The competition will take place over ten venues in India over the course of 46 days. The first match, a rematch of the 2019 final, will take place on October 5 at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad between England and New Zealand.

The event will feature ten teams, with eight of them having qualified through the Cricket World Cup Super League. The final two berths will be determined at the conclusion of the Zimbabwe Qualifier tournament on July 9.

Here are the matches scheduled to take place in Hyderabad:

  • October 5th – Pakistan vs Qualifier 1
  • October 9th – New Zealand vs Qualifier 1
  • October 12th – Pakistan vs Qualifier 2
