India Achieves Milestone With Completing 11 Crores Covid 19 Vaccine

India recently recorded a Covid vaccination coverage of 11 crores on the 4th day of Tika Utsav. As per reports, over 26 lakh doses have been given in the past 24 hours.

Eight States In India Account For Over 60 Percent Covid Doses Distribution 

As per the latest reports, a total of 11,11,79,578 Covid 19 vaccine doses have been administered via 16,53,488 sessions until 7 am on Wednesday. The beneficiaries include Healthcare Workers, Frontline workers, people above the age of 60, and the ones between 45 – 60 years of age.

Reports suggest that eight states account for 60.16 percent of the total Covid vaccine doses given across the country. As of Day 88 of the Covid Vaccination Drive In India (April 13,2021) a total of 26, 46, 528 vaccine doses have been given. Around 22,58,910 beneficiaries were vaccinated with the first dose through 44,643 sessions. And around 3,87,618 people received the second dose of Covid 19 vaccines.

India Crosses 26 Crores Tests

With the aim of curbing the Covid 19 virus, India has hit another milestone. The country has crossed 26 crores Covid 19 tests. In the past 24 hours, a total of 14,11,758 tests have been conducted. The testing capacity has been increased to 15 lakh tests per day.
The government said that 82 percent of the new cases are being reported from 10 states. It includes Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Kerala.

So far, Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new Covid cases at 60, 212. Uttar Pradesh follows with 17,963 cases and Chhattisgarh has recorded 15,121 new cases.
Meanwhile, eleven states/UTs have not recorded any Covid 19 deaths in the past 24 hours. It includes Ladakh (UT), Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Lakshadweep, Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman, and Nicobar Islands, Meghalaya D&D and D&N, and Mizoram.
