Indian Traditional Healthcare Workshops & Exhibition from August 24

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad-based BigMarketeer is organizing a three-day Indian Traditional Healthcare Workshops and Exhibition from August 24 to 26 at the Hitex. The expo is organized with support of   Department of AYUSH and other institutes.
In a pressnote here today, Dr A. Rajender Reddy, Incharge Commissioner of Ayush said the excessive use of antibiotics and pain killers is dangerous.  Since 1929 when Prof Alexandar Fleming discovered Antibiotic i.e. Penicillin, different types of antibiotics were prepared and 6^th generation of Antibiotics were being used now and some seveb lakh people were dying every year in the country due to resistance to bacterial infections.  This number may go up to one crore by 2050, he said.
Dr A. Rajender Reddy said the Union government’s decision to provide e-tourist visa would help in promoting Indian  traditional medicine among foreigners. Some 5,000 people visit Kerala every year for Siddha treatment, he added. Besides Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy, this will have separate pavilion on Millets, Organic and Natural Farming, Property and Farm Land, Kitchen Garden, Health, Wellness, Beauty Franchise and Startup Opportunities.  Pavilion for Small and Cottage Industries is also planned.
The expo will feature alternative medicine centers, herbal medicine companies, fitness, wellness centers and spas, diet clinics, yoga centers, panchakarma centers, hospitals, Millets, organic and natural foods and farm producers, pharmaceutical & phyto-pharmaceutical companies, educational institutions and others. There are organic foods, vegetables, fruits, milk and clothes.  The expo will showcase a lot of organic food products and options available to consumers. Entry to expo is free. The expo is open from 10am to 8pm.
