Hyderabad: Extending support to Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy said the Congress was condemning the attack by BJP leaders on Sushma Swaraj with regard to Hindu-Muslim couple’s passport issue.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Jaipal Reddy said it was atrocious on the part of BJP leaders to target Sushma Swaraj. He alleged that the attack on Sushma Swaraj was by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s social media because they were afraid of Sushma Swaraj was emerging as alternative to Modi. The Congress leader alleged that the Centre showed discrimination in re-verification of Hindu-Muslim couple. He said, “Modi and his colleague Smrithi Irani’s followers were using filthy language, which was not publishable in newspapers, against Sushma Swaraj in the social media. They were targeting Minorities; he said and demanded that the Centre initiate action against the social media.
Targeting Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Jaipal Reddy said his party was ready to face early polls if occurred. He alleged KCR was hobnobbing with Modi. (NSS)
