Hyderabad: Telangana State Haj Committee Chairman Mohd Masiullah Khan today said interviews for Khadimul Hujjaj was conducted on Wednesday to assess their physical and mental fitness. He said the selection of the Khadimul Hujjaj (Haj Volunteers) would be made on the basis of an interview and draw of lots.
Mohd Masiullah Khan also informed that the draw of lots to select the Khadimul Hujjaj would be conducted from among the candidates declared eligible in the interview on Wednesday. Khadimul Hujjaj are selected in the ratio of 200:1 to guide and help the Haj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia as and when required.
In the program, Mohd Masiullah Khan, B. Shafiullah, Executive Officer, TS Haj Committee, Dr Firoza Bano, Member; Central Haj Committee (Mumbai), Md Arifuddin, M.A. Khader (Siddipet), Members of TS Haj committee and others were present. The draw of lots will be held on March 5 at 3 pm at Haj House, Nampally here.
Irfan Shareef, Asst. Executive Officer, TS Haj Committee, said a total of 263 applications were received from Khadimul Hujjaj Category of which 159 applicants were found eligible for the interview and 104 were rejected.
