Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) vows to help defeat TRS in polls

Hyderabad : Another political party has joined the grand alliance formed by Congress in the State. The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), which is a dominant force in Kerala, has decided to join the grand alliance in the upcoming elections.

Party general secretary Abdul Ghani announced that they had decided to join the grand alliance to ensure its victory in the upcoming elections. He said they were extending unconditional support to the grand alliance and added that they would also actively take part in the election campaigning. Training his guns against Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, Ghani alleged that the TRS president had cheated the Muslims in the name of 12 percent reservations in the State.

He also alleged that the Chief Minister also not fulfilled any of the promises he made to the Muslims in the State. He alleged that TRS, MIM and BJP had struck a secret pact to defeat the grand alliance in the State in the upcoming elections and said their goal would be to defeat the TRS party.  (NSS)
