Jagadish Reddy claims Governor Tamilisai converted Raj Bhavan into BJP office

Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy claimed that Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan of converting Raj Bhavan into a party office, accusing her of turning it into a political center.

On Monday, the Minister was answering a question during an interaction with the media after handing over appointment letters to 69 Assistant Engineers and 178 Sub-Engineers selected to work for SPDCL.

The Governor’s behavior has made it clear that she was targeting the TRS government on behalf of the BJP leadership, he said.

“She is behaving more like a BJP leader than a Governor. Raj Bhavan has been turned into a second party office of the BJP. Even people are seeing her as a BJP leader rather than as a Governor,” he alleged.

In response to the Governor’s delaying approval of a few bills passed by the State Assembly, Jagadish Reddy stated that the State government would explore legal and constitutional options.

“The Governor has to function under norms laid down under the Constitution. But unfortunately, she is not following norms. We will find ways to clear the Bills,” he stated.

The union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy claimed that even though the BJP lost the Munugode by-poll, it still morally won, but Jagadish Reddy refuted his claim by stating that despite BJP leadership’s attempts to lure voters, the citizens of Munugode expressed confidence in chief minister Chandrashekhar Rao.

Chief Minister’s plan to campaign against BJP during Gujarat assembly elections sparked panic among BJP leadership, the Minister said, who were preparing strategies to counter him

“Though CM has not visited Gujarat, his welfare schemes have become popular among people of Gujarat. Telangana providing 24 hours free power to farmers has become a problem for BJP as people are demanding similar schemes in Gujarat,” he claimed.

Since the Chief Minister’s programs and schemes have gained popularity among the people of the country, he said, the BJP leadership was trying to dislodge his government.
