Congress MLA Jayaprakash Reddy today dared BJP leaders to visit the family members of Secunderabad railway station shooting victim Rakesh and asked them if they have the courage to visit the family members of the gun shooting victim.
He also asked the BJP leaders who was responsible for the Secunderabad railway station vandalism. He said they would corner the BJP leaders until the Union government announced the withdrawal of the controversial Agnipath scheme.
Speaking to media persons, the Congress MLA also targeted the TRS party and asked its leaders as to who draped the body of Rakesh with their party’s flag? He criticized that the TRS party was doing politics on the dead body of the victim. Rakesh was given a befitting farewell by different sections of society on Saturday. Several State cabinet ministers and the ruling party MLAs and leaders took part in the funeral procession of Rakesh. The procession was held on behalf of the TRS from Warangal to Dabirpet. State ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Satyavati Rathod, TRS MLAs and MPs followed the vehicle carrying the mortal remains of Rakesh. The participants of the procession burnt effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at several places.
They also raised slogans against the Central government and the Prime Minister. The ruling party activists threw chappals and stones on BSNL office at Pochamma maidan.
