Jagga Reddy to field his wife for Sangareddy municipal chairperson post

Hyderabad: Sangareddy MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy on Friday said he would field his wife Nirmala from Sangareddy municipality for the post of municipal chairperson if the reservations favored them. He said he had decided to field his wife in order to serve the people of his constituency in a more effective manner.

Addressing media persons at Sangareddy, he said his constituency was facing an acute water crisis. Alleging that there was no response from the State government despite the submission of several representations on the crisis, he said he was being targeted by his political rivals for raising the public problems. He said he brought IIT, Agriculture University, polytechnic college, Rajiv park, and integrated Collectorate.

Stating that neither Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao nor his political opponents brought those institutions to the constituency, Jagga Reddy said he was responsible for the provision of Manjeera water to each and every household in Sangareddy. He asked his political rival Harish Rao, who took away Singur water, as to how he would visit Sangareddy now and seek votes in the upcoming municipal elections. Questioning Harish Rao whether he ever brought KCR to Sangareddy, he said he had brought former Chief Ministers Y S Rajashekhar Reddy, K. Rosaiah, and Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy to his constituency.
