Jagga threatens fast from Monday over Water Scarcity

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and Sangareddy MLA Toorpu Jagga Reddy on Friday said he would go on three-day hunger strike demanding provision of drinking water to his constituency and withdrawal of the government decision to close down the PG Center from the town. He said his hunger strike would begin on Monday and would conclude on Wednesday.

Addressing mediapersons, Jagga Reddy alleged that the residents of Sangareddy were  facing acute drinking water scarcity as the State government had taken the Singhur waters to Nizamabad. About the removal of the PG center in the town, he demanded that the State government withdraw its decision immediately. He said his dharna would be held either in front of the Collectorate or at IB crossroads for three days. (NSS)
