Hyderabad: Former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy today made severe allegations against Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for not giving permission to AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the Osmania University and has thrown a challenge at KCR to go to Osmania University if he has guts to enter into the Osmania University. He also advised KCR to go to the OU escorted by Army if he was afraid of students.
Addressing the public meeting of the Congress party at Sherilingampally here on Monday, Jaipal Reddy said that UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi had accorded Telangana state, but KCR “looted” the Telangana. He warned that KCR will face defeat in the hands of Rahul Gandhi. He alleged that KCR was a friend of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“KCR states that settlers belong to him. But same KCR was demanding special status to Telangana in case Centre gives special status to Andhra Pradesh state”, he pointed out. He said the Congress party gave Telangana State with mere Rs 70 crore debts in the 70 years rule; but KCR, within four years, made Rs 1.60 lakh crore debts. The Seemandhra people didn’t get any trouble in the newly formed Telangana State but Telangana people got several problems, he remarked. (NSS)
