Jaipur Golden Hospital Report 20 Covid Patients Death Amidst Medical Oxygen Crisis in Delhi

Amidst the rising Covid 19 cases, Delhi is facing a shortage in the supply of medical oxygen. Around 20 patients have died on Friday night at the Jaipur Golden Hospital in Delhi due to low oxygen supply.

Jaipur Golden Hospital Urges Government To Arrange Medical Oxygen

As per the latest reports, the Jaipur Golden Hospital has requested the Delhi government to arrange for medical oxygen at the earliest time possible. They said that they need a supply of 3.5 metric tonnes of medical oxygen. And they were supposed to receive it by 5pm yesterday. But it was delivered by midnight and by that time 20 Covid patients had died already.

Dr D.K Baluja, MD took to Twitter on Saturday morning to share the hospital’s urgency of the medical oxygen supply. He said that the Jaipur Golden Hospital is still waiting for the medical oxygen supply. The hospital currently has 215 covid patients that are dependent on the oxygen support.

“Get supply ASAP. Please help, we are desperate,” said Dr Baluja.

Hospitals Raise SOS For Medical Oxygen Supply

The news from the Jaipur Golden Hospital comes after Sir Ganga Ram Hospital reported the death of 25 patients yesterday. They had raised an alarm for immediate supply of medical oxygen on Thursday. They had said that they had more than 140 covid patients who were in critical condition and were dependent on ventilators and oxygen support.

Furthermore, Moolchand Hospital, Batra Hospital and SGRH also raised alarms for the shortage of the supply of medical oxygen. They have appealed to the authorities to arrange the same at the earliest.

Dr SCL Gupta,, Medical Director at the Batra Hospital said that the hospital is left with medical oxygen supply of only an hour for 350 patients. Later, he revealed that they were supplied with 500 litres of medical oxygen after requesting for 12 hours. Their daily requirement is of 8000 litres of medical oxygen.

Around 11 am, SGRH hospital claimed that they were left with only 200 cubic oxygen which would last only for 15 minutes.
