Hyderabad: Cyber Crime police today arrested one Hema Siva Kumar Thanniru alias Akash Manduri, 30, native of Kadapa in YSR district for issuing fake job letters to job aspirants and extorting money in the guise of providing jobs in Capgemini & IBM in Hyderabad and Bangalore. The accused allegedly cheated several job aspirants in the pretext of providing jobs and extorted Rs 85 to 90 lakh.
Following a complaint from Srinivasa Kumar Rayudu of KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, that he was cheated of Rs 7,28,000 by the accused, the police arrested the accused this evening at the JNTU Bus stop, KPHB, Kukatpally. The police advised the job seekers not to fall a prey to online advertisements and pay money to cheats for jobs without verifying the antecedents of placement agencies.
