Hyderabad: The ‘Kanti Velugu’ (Eye Screening and Treatment) programme launched by the Telangana State Government, is receiving tremendous response through out the State, more so in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits.
In the Capital, more than 31 thousand people availaed the facility in the 30 circles, on Monday and similar is the situation on Tuesday, according to GHMC officials. Of the people screened on Monday, spectacles were given to 9ver 8,000 people, while another 2827 people were recommended for surgery of different types.
As the entire programme is free of cost, many people with eye problems are feeling happy. (NSS)
