Hyderabad: Telangana state Govt’s prestigious ‘Kanti velugu’ program will be launched in all GHMC Circles Wednesday at 3 pm.
Keeping in view the importance of eyes, the Govt has decided to conduct free eye checkup and distribution of medicines and free glasses in this program. Also secondary care and territory care by way of 37 eye related surgeries in referral hospitals. It will be a continuous exercise for six months. It will be held in two locations per ward. First three months will be in one location, next three months in other locations. Saturday and Sunday will be holidays for the camp.
The camp will work from 9am to 4 pm every day. All people from 0+ years shall be covered under this program. 300 CRP’S have appointed as on GHMC to distribute invitations to each house to attend the program. . They will give time slots to attend the camp at the venue.If anyone miss the time slots allotted he will get another date 10 days later Prescriptions glasses will be delivered at the center later after 1 day free of cost. If case is serious they will be referred to Reffual hospitals. (NSS)
