Kavitha lost Nizamabad to BJP man by 68,000 votes

Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Dharmapuri Arvind, son of senior leader Dharmapuri Srinivas  wrested the Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency from sitting MP and daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao Kalvakuntla Kavitha.

Informed sources said Arvind won the seat with a huge margin of over 68,000 votes. It is a big shock to TRS after securing a thumping victory in Assembly elections. Amid tight security, counting of votes for 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana got underway on Thursday in 126 counting halls located at 35 places across the State. It is well known that Kavitha was confronted by 178 farmers, who contested in protest against non-fulfilment of their demands, especially in getting sanction for Turmeric Board from the Centre.
