KCR initiative for forest rejuvenation : Indrakaran

Hyderabad: Forest Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy today stated that entire Telangana is turning with initiatives of Chief Minister,  K Chandrasekhar Rao.

He started Anjaneya Aranya and Narasimha Aranya Urban forest parks near Yadadri temple in Bhuvangiri district here along with MLA Lingaiah and officials here.

On the occasion,  the minister said that KCR took steps for forest rejuvenation. He stated that the TRS Government has been taking up Haritha Haram’s sixth phase for green cover expansion The Yadadri Temple being developed by the KCR Government on par with Tirumala Temple he claimed.

Soon the Yadadri Temple will be inaugurated for the public with all facilities and infrastructure, Indrakaran Reddy has said..  Entire Yadadri Temple and the district is going to adorn greener look with parks the minister said.

The people can enjoy the urban forest parks to relax with families he said. The government offered a budget for forest rejuvenation the Minister added.  Yadadri has about 37 forest blocks with an area of 11,733.706 Hectares which is about 3.8% of geographical area, and 16 blocks are in the Metropolitan region. Of the 16 blocks with an area of 2,874.96 Ha in the metropolitan area, the10 blocks are proposed as Urban Forest Parks and 6 blocks as conservation areas Urban Forest Parks.

The minister said Narasimha Abhayaranyam was developed in 97.12 hectors in Rayagiri-II. Anjaneya Aranyam in 56.65 hectors in Raigiri- I . The two urban parks were developed in the manner that the people who would visit them would recognize the importance of the trees and protection of the forests.

Earlier, the minister has also participated in the groundbreaking ceremony of Forest department office building.  Rajya Sabha member Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) R Shoba, Additional PCCFs Lokesh, Jaiswal, and Chandrasekhar Reddy and others have also attended the program.
